At PHCC NC, we believe that every competent business person realizes that a significant aspect of their future success depends on their ongoing increase of knowledge, expertise, and abilities, both in their particular field and in subjects that will enhance and grow their business.
As a result of this belief, and in our endeavor to serve our members for their benefit and growth, PHCC NC offers an ever changing list of Professional Development Education classes in a wide variety of subjects. Many of these classes also qualify for the requirements prescribed by the North Carolina State Board of Examiners of Plumbing, Heating and Fire Sprinkler Contractors, for contractors under a disciplinary action.
Please note that classes with continuing education credits are no longer required by the State Board for license renewals since Jan, 2013.

The PHCC Academy of North Carolina Apprenticeship Program was created in 2016 for employees of PHCC of NC Member companies. These are online plumbing and HVACR apprentice courses for apprentices who need a non-classroom based method of receiving their apprenticeship instruction. This program is recognized by the U.S. Department of Labor, Employment & Training Administration, Office of Apprenticeship, as a reasonable option for apprentice training. Each course is the equivalent of one year of classroom instruction.
The Foundation’s PHCC Academy courses offer a consistent experience for companies training many apprentices over time, with course materials developed by industry experts. Our training is offered through a professional, education-focused Learning Management System (LMS) that is easy to access and use. It is a comprehensive 4 module, training course combining on-the-job training under the direction of experienced workers, and related instruction through online classes.
Below are the tools you will need to successfully enrole and guide apprentices through the program.
