Educational Partner Participation Requirements

This membership is built around an active partnership between your school and PHCC of North Carolina.

Participating institutions agree to:

  • Designate two or more faculty contacts to coordinate membership participation and serve as the school’s primary PHCC representatives.
  • Maintain a current student roster with PHCC and update it as enrollment changes.
  • Participate in the PHCC of NC Education Committee through faculty representation.
  • Share career fairs, recruiting opportunities, and relevant school events so PHCC can help connect contractor members with your school.
  • Include a graduate resume assignment in the applicable program syllabus, requiring students to upload their resumes to the PHCC Member Hub as they approach graduation.
  • Help students complete the resume submission process, including explaining that submitted resumes will be available to PHCC contractor members seeking employees.
  • Support connections between graduating students and contractor members to help students move from training into employment.

Graduate Resume Assignment

Make Career Connections Part of the Curriculum

Participating schools must include a resume submission assignment in their qualifying program syllabus. As students approach graduation, they will prepare and upload a current resume to the PHCC Member Hub for access by PHCC contractor members.

This assignment helps students prepare for their job search while connecting employers with a newly trained group of potential hires. Faculty should explain the purpose of the submission, who will have access, and how students can keep their information current.

Suggested Syllabus Language

“As part of career preparation for this program, students are required to prepare and upload a current resume to the PHCC of North Carolina Member Hub before graduation. Resumes will be available to PHCC contractor members seeking employees, giving students an opportunity to connect with employers in the plumbing, heating, and cooling industries. Your instructor will provide submission instructions and explain how your information will be shared.”

Resume submission supports employer connections; it does not guarantee an interview or employment.
